First post same as the first: a Muffaletta
I made this in the desert over the last holiday weekend. I am proud to say that every meal that I made was sand-free. I mostly attribute this to the fact that I prepared everything before going out there, so there was no slicing in the dusty wind, and everything was prepacked in a plastic bin. Most notably was the olive relish. Deli meat stays dust free pretty well in its own plastic bags, so it was all a matter of building it. And build it happens as follows:
whatever nice bread
Mortadella
Ham
Salami
Provolone
Olive relish:
kalamata
green
diced carrot
roasted red bell pepper
garlic
oil
lemon juice
lemon zest
parsley
